ISRAELI REPERTOIRE - COUPLE DANCES

BACK

No dancing on Wednesday, July 24.

The session that would normally be on August 14 will be moved to August 7 (first Wedneday).

======================

LOCATION -- Martin Murphy Historical Park, 190 E. California Avenue or 250 N. Sunnyvale Avenue (corner of Sunnyvale Avenue and California Avenue) in Sunnyvale.

ADMISSION -- $10 per person

WHEN -- Second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, 8:00-10:00 pm. I need a minimum of six couples to hold the class, so I maintain an email list and send out a request for dancers the Sunday or Monday before the scheduled class. If at least six couples respond that they can attend, I send out another email before 4:00 pm on Wednesday confirming the class; if I don't have at least six couples, I send an email canceling the class. If you'd like to be on that email list contact me.

8:00-8:15 pm: 5-6 dances as dancers arrive.

8:15-9:10 pm: I teach 2, sometimes 3 couple dances. What I teach is driven by the class participants who email me or tell me what dances they want to learn. Most of the dances are NOT usually the most recent ones that are taught on Monday (or the other Israeli dance class in the area), but are typically the older dances in the repertoire that class members want to learn or review or need help with a specific part (the ending of Erev Kachol Amok or At Kvar Lo Iti).

9:00-9:10 pm: Short break.

9:10-10:00 pm: We dance whatever the class members request or I think they need to practice, including the dances that were taught that night.

CONTACT -- If you have further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me! I can also send you a playlist from the most recent class to give you an idea what we are working on.
